Last night we held the San Jose #NHLTweetup at Firehouse Grill where the crowd was friendly and in high spirits. Thanks to everyone who came down to celebrate the season together. Despite nifty goals in the game later, by Clowe and Cheechoo we came up short on the scoreboard. Good insights about 0-2 start from @Eklund on Hockey Buzz blog today http://bit.ly/iz0HY
A big “Thank you” to the Firehouse Grill staff for playoff atmosphere and excellent service. You all are true die-hard Sharks fans.
The informal survey of the Tweetup crowd revealed these interesting ideas:
1. Drew Remenda should have a Twitter account (even if someone helps him with ghost tweets). Jamie Baker got a lot of votes to start tweeting.
2. Roenick and Shelley would be fun to follow on Twitter. After a fight like this one with Parros last October http://tinyurl.com/dhggn8 am sure Jody’d have a lot to say.
3. There was interest in having Doug Wilson and Mike Ricci on Twitter if they could share insights about the organization, NHL, talent in development, etc
4. Current @SanJoseSharks Twitter account needs to be enhanced. Reads like same content available on website whereas it could be much more timely and engaging.
5. Need official SJ Sharkie Twitter account. Could post which benefits attending or schools Sharkie is visiting.
We will work this week to get this feedback to Sharks front office and broadcast partners. As they say — feedback is the “breakfast of champions”. We all want the Sharks to be Champions!

@RomeoCH came in from Las Vegas to join the fun and posted this video to YouTube with a summary of atmosphere around Arena and at Firehouse Grill. www.tinyurl.com/sjsharkstwup
